Increase in potentization in homoepathic medicines using Alphie Shaker Mixer

Potentization in the homeopathic procedure of dilution is successfully arrived at in Alphie 3D Shaker Mixer. First, 1 mL of the “mother tincture”, the crude ethanolic extract of Lycopodium clavatum, is diluted with 30–90% ethanol. The same is filled in a bottle and fitted in the Alphie shake mixer and rotated at 20 rpm for 30 sec. This gives 10 uniform jerks to make the potency 1C. A volume of 1 mL of potency 1C is then diluted with 99 mL of ethanol and given same 10 jerks or successions to make the potency 2C, and so on. The Alphie Shaker Mixer motion gives uniform jerks at a consistent time duration.
