Homogeneous mix of binary, ternary and quaternary blended cements in dry state have been done in Alphie mixer. The raw materials used for making blends were Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), fly ash, slag, calcined clay, limestone, calcium sulphate, etc. The raw materials had specific gravity ranging from 2.4 to 3.12 g/cc.

The blends were made to mix in the presence of steel balls of suitable diameter. This was done to break the agglomerated clay particles during the mixing.
