Grinding wheels are made of natural or synthetic abrasive minerals bonded together in a matrix to form a wheel. The challenge in mixing is to mix phenolic resin and diamond abrasive grains, to get the most homogeneous mixing.

The customer was using a conventional drum mixer or other so called uniform mixers. We suggested our Alphie 3 mixer.

The powder was mixed in our stainless steel specially fabricated container with a leak-proof gasket.

There was a saving of 50% in mixing time by using Alphie mixer. Further, there was a definite improvement in the homogeneity of the mixture so much so that this grinding wheels manufacturer was able to approach and acquire high end customers with more demanding requirements.
